Stress or Rest – You choose

Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. 2 For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed. 3 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said….

Stress or Rest?

Not too long ago I was trying to prepare a message for a church I was to share the Word with on the next Sunday service. Nothing seemed to be coming up out of my spirit. I was trying to be “cool” calm and collected. But it was not until I really entered into the Father’s REST that I could begin to hear clearly.

And then He spoke to my heart. “Did you notice that when you began to rest in Me even to the place of nodding off…That it was then My Spirit could move in you. Think of it this way…When you are uptight and anxious you restrict Him and hinder the ease in which He moves in you and through you with the thoughts and intentions of My heart. Using your prayer language also unstops the otherwise dammed up flow of My Life and My ministry to you and through you.”

I have long learned that a seemingly “personal” word from Father’s heart can indeed be a word of blessing to others as we are all made out of the same clay.

In my quiet times of listening to the Father’s heart, hearing Jesus share with me, by the unctions of Holy Spirit… the above “bread” was what I heard. May it touch your heart today.
