Every Man to His Own

ohn 16:32
Behold the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone, and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.   KJV

While reading in the gospel of John, this verse of Jesus’ words spoken in the garden caught my attention and I meditated upon it. I have always marveled that the disciples ran away when Jesus was arrested and taken to the home of    the High Priest. Would I have done the same thing if I was there? When faced with a crisis would I run to my own way and leave Jesus?

I pondered upon the days in which we now live. The tide has turned and the persecution of Christians is covering the globe, even reaching our very shores. When crisis hits our lives, when being identified with Jesus can place us in jeopardy, will we be scattered also, every man to his own?

Let us each examine our hearts to find the answer.

I invite you to pray along with me

Father, Lord Jesus, and my dear Comforter Holy Spirit,
Only you know the depths of my heart, only you know how I would respond in moments of crisis. If there is weakness in my resolve, strengthen me. If there is fear within my heart, displace it with your perfect love. If there is cowardliness, infuse me with the boldness and the courage of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Because I pray according to your will, I know you hear me and I receive these petitions from you. Therefore  I boldly declare that when you come Lord Jesus you will find faith in the earth, you will find white hot fervent faith, within my heart. AMEN and AMEN

 Love,

Randy
